The re:motion designs homepage.

The re:motion designs homepage.

In Brief

When re:motion designs contacted me, they were in quite a pickle. They had just been contacted by TIME magazine to be featured in an article about the 50 Top Inventions of the Year, so they only had 13 days to get a new website up to receive the onslaught of traffic that was sure to come after being featured in the TIME article. Their old website was serving as okay placeholder, giving basic information about their team and mission, but it did not accurately represent their ideals and personality, and was clearly dated, featuring 1995 era visuals and web typography. It wasn’t providing great access to the information that people would try to get to quickly on the site, and wasn’t succeeding in steering people to a way they could get involved with the mission of the team. After a week and a half of research and gathering materials for the redesign (and studying for my midterms), I pumped out the new site in its current form in brand spanking new HTML5. Its the fastest I’ve ever completed a project (18 hours spread over 2 days), but I’m satisfied with the result. The site is still evolving, but the first version (.5) is live and ready for viewing.

School is still keeping me extremely busy, so I’ll be fleshing out this section with a full description sometime during winter vacation.
